7 Pot Shops Ordered to Shut Down

Judge issues temporary injunction against Raymond Way medical marijuana dispensaries.

Orange County Superior Judge David Chaffee issued a temporary injunction against the shops Friday. The dispensaries are all on Raymond Way, near a Montessori school kindergarten at 24601 Raymond.

Local law forbids pot shops near schools.

In May 2010, a judge handed down an injunction to close 11 shops, but an appeal stalled the ruling from taking effect.
