Lake Forest Soccer Star Makes Second Olympic Debut

In her second appearance at an Olympics, Lake Forest soccer star Amy Rodriguez played Wednesday in the U.S. women's soccer victory over France.

Rodriguez, who also competed in the 2008 Olympics, played the final 15 minutes of the match as a substitute for Alex Morgan, who scored half of the team's goals in the game.

Rodriguez, 25, plays forward for the U.S. women's team. In the 2008 Olympics, she started in the last five matches of the tournament, according to U.S. Soccer.

The U.S. overcame an early lead by France on Wednesday to win 4-2. The team came from behind after lagging 2-0 in just 13 minutes of game time, according to U.S. Soccer.

Players Abby Wambach and Carli Lloyd added a goal each to Morgan's two to reach the total of four scored by the U.S. team.
