A Knife Threat, Robbery, Drunken Driving, and Other Cop Calls

Reports pulled from the Lake Forest police dispatch log.

At 5:22 p.m. Wednesday, police assisted an outside agency on the 20700 block of El Toro Road. According to the report, a man at an EZ Lube shop pulled an approximately 8-inch knife on store employees.

At 3:58 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported suspicious persons near the intersection of Wandering Lane and Shady Rim Circle. Two minors were seen in a small white Honda, possibly dealing drugs.

At 2:35 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a suspicious person in a vehicle in the 23600 block of Birtcher Drive. According to the report, the person has been sleeping in a burgundy vehicle for more than a month in the back corner of an area parking lot.

At 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a 911 hang-up call on the 21100 block of Cranbridge Drive. According to the report, a woman was hit by a man, pushed against a wall, and robbed of all her money. The woman, who declined help from paramedics, told police that the man drove off in a black car. 

At 6:47 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a suspected drunken driver near the El Toro Road and I-5 intersection. According to the report, the driver's vehicle was swerving all over the road.

At 3:07 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a suspicious person near the Portola Parkway and Town Center Drive intersection. According to the report, an employee of an audio store saw a customer try and steal a car stereo by removing it from its box and hiding it.

At 2:37 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a suspicious person near the Muirlands Boulevard and El Toro Road intersection. According to the report, a man was making motions as if he was throwing objects at vehicles and removing his clothing, though he remained mostly dressed. The subject was suspected to be a transient.

At 1:28 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a suspected drunken driver near the Town Center Drive and Market Place intersection. The informant reported she was hit by woman who had been swerving all over the road in a gray Toyota Corolla.

At 8:10 p.m. Monday, a caller reported vandalism taking place near the Rockfield Boulevard and Lake Forest Drive intersection. According to the report, a heavy-set man in a green shirt and white pants threw something at the caller's Nissan X-Terra, scratching the vehicle.
