More About Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991, Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens was built by city father Ole Hanson as his family home in 1927. It has operated variously as a private home, a home for senior citizens and an event center leased to a private business.
In the late '80s, San Clemente's Redevelopment Agency bought the property and subsequently converted it to a cultural center that hosts weddings and other private events, as well as cultural events and fundraisers.

While the exhibit is free, there is a $5 per adult fee to enter the Casa. Parking is free, always a plus. We visited this weekend, worth seeing if you are in the area. The volunteers were knowledgable and very nice. The views are breathtaking, this is a hidden treasure!
