Want to go snow sledding? Are the mountains too far to drive?
Come have your own family adventure right here in Lake Forest during the city's SnowFest 2013, slated for Saturday, Jan. 26, at Pittsford Park, 21701 Pittsford Drive, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. That's right, snow is forecast to fall in Lake Forest on Jan. 26!
Tickets are selling fast and sessions are scheduled as follows:
Session 1, 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Session 2, 12:45 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Session 3, 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
You can purchase tickets at the Lake Forest Community Center, 25550 Commercentre Drive. Admission is cash-only and costs $5 per sledder.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, Jan. 9, and Thursday, Jan. 10, until 7 p.m. Ticket sales are open to Lake Forest residents only.
Tickets will remain on sale Friday, Jan. 11, from noon to 7 p.m. for open registration.
