OCPSA's 1st Annual Private High School Fair - October 20th, 2013

OCPSA ANNOUNCES THE 1st ANNUAL OC PRIVATE HIGH SCHOOL FAIR FOR OCTOBER 20, 2013

Parents researching private high schools have a unique opportunity to meet with representatives from over 30 top Orange County high schools on October 20th, 2013. The Orange County Private School Association is excited to announce its newest annual event, the fall Orange County Private High School Fair.

“In today’s climate of public school budget cuts, with ever increasing class sizes and less and less individualized attention, more parents are seriously looking at private school alternatives,” says Ray Girn, President of the OCPSA. “Our inaugural high school fair is a great opportunity for parents to research the wide variety of private high school options available to them in Orange County. Choosing a private school can be a time-consuming process — but the fair really simplifies this work: parents can meet with many different schools in a short period, get information on program content and tuition rates, and narrow down their choices to a handful of schools they’d like to visit and explore in more depth.”

The 2013 OCPSA Private High School Fair will run on October 20th from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the University of California, Irvine at 4113 Pereira Drive, Irvine 92617.

OCPSA expects over 30 high schools to exhibit at the event. Exhibitors will come from as far south as the Army and Navy Academy in Carlsbad, as far north as Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy in La Canada Flintridge, and everything in between. Select boarding schools from across the country have also been invited to participate.

Parents can visit with schools in the exhibit hall, pick up school informational material, and have their initial questions answered. A series of educational seminars, running at periodic intervals during the Fair, will cover topics like The State of College Admissions in 2013. A special meet-and-greet period will be held for each speaker, allowing attendees the chance to gain further information.

Admission to this event is FREE. Pre-registration is requested but not required; the first 500 families will earn an additional raffle entry and a free OCPSA bag. Registration and additional information is available at www.ocpsa.org/school-fair.
