Raths Campaign Brings in Heavy Hitter

December 2, 2013 (Irvine, CA) Colonel Gregory Raths USMC (RET), a candidate for California’s 45th Congressional District for 2014, has firmly planted himself in the race by bringing aboard Bob Schuman to run his campaign. Schuman heads The Schuman Group, a nationally run firm based out of San Diego.  “Schuman brings with him over 30 years of political consulting experience and is a top-notch professional,” says Raths, who is pleased to have Schuman join his campaign. “It is an honor and privilege to work with a combat tested Marine who has sacrificed so much for our country, and now wants to serve once again as a U.S. Congressman,” says Schuman.

Raths served for 30 years in the Marine Corps, retiring in 2004 at the rank of colonel settling in Mission Viejo, CA with his wife Luci. He flew jet fighters and commanded a Marine Corps Fighter/Attack Squadron at MCAS El Toro, CA, and a Marine Aircraft Group at MCAS Miramar, San Diego, CA. Raths also served three years as Assistant Chief of Staff of the White House Military Office from 1996-1999 when he was a Lieutenant Colonel.
