Four Disneyland employees today complained of nausea from paint fumes at the theme park and were taken to an area hospital to be checked out, a police lieutenant said.

The employees, who work in a backstage area of the park, called authorities about 1:15 p.m., saying the odor from wet paint made them sick to their stomachs and affected their breathing, Anaheim police Lt. Tim Schmidt said.

"So all four were taken to a local hospital and are expected to be released soon," Schmidt said.

No Disneyland guests were affected, and the incident did not affect operations at the theme park, Schmidt said.
