Outage KO's Power Thursday Night to Friday Afternoon

Southern California Edison estimates the lights will return to Lake Forest residents by 3:30 p.m.

More than 100 customers of Southern California Edison lost power on Thursday night, and they aren't likely to get it back until Friday afternoon.

According to Nancy Rodriguez Casanova, those customers off Jeronimo in Lake Forest should be able to expect some relief by 3:30 p.m.

The spokeswoman said 117 customers lost power at 7:42 p.m., because of a bad underground cable located on Jeronimo Road west of Eagle Street.

Casanova said the boundaries are Jeronimo to the north, Pheasant to the south, Peacock to the east and Wren Way to the West.

It's another in a long series of electrical outages in the city over the last  two months, including a power pole snapping at the corner of Trabuco and El Toro, and an underground explosion at Trabuco and Rimhurst that injured two workers.
