Snow Forecast for Lake Forest

The city's annual SnowFest event is scheduled for Jan. 26.

The forecast calls for snow in Lake Forest on Jan. 26.

SnowFest 2013, the city's annual homage to wintry white stuff, is scheduled to take place at Pittsford Park, 21701 Pittsford Drive.

The popular event will feature sleds and saucers for kids to slide down Mount Pittsford ($5 per sledder), a snow play area for youngsters age 5 and under, and guest appearances from a galaxy far, far away. Food and drinks will be sold at the event.

Pre-registration is mandatory. Tickets are typically sold out by the time of the event. Lake Forest residents can register on Wednesday, Jan. 9, and Thursday, Jan. 10, from noon to 7 p.m.  Proof of residency is required.

The sessions are as follows:

Session 1             11:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Session 2             12:45 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
