Anything Goes

Aboard the S.S. American are Billy Crocker, a stowaway in love with heiress Hope Harcourt, who in turn is engaged to Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, nightclub singer and former evangelist Reno Sweeney, and Public Enemy #13, Moonface Martin, who is posing as a minister. A series of comical mistaken identities ensues as the passengers and crew sing and dance their way across the Atlantic.

Based in Newport Beach, Calif., Musical Theatre Academy of Orange County is a not-for-profit organization that provides musical theatre training to students ages 4 through 18 in a non-competitive, audition-free environment that allows every student a chance to shine in the spotlight. Founded in 1984 as the Rainbow Singers, MTA is a little-known gem of the Orange County community that has provided quality training to more than 2,000 students since its inception. It has since expanded to a full-scale musical theatre academy that holds professional-quality productions three times a year. At the core of MTA is the Broadway intensive-style programs for students from kindergarten through 12th grade that allow students the opportunity to engage in real musical theatre training and professional-quality productions. Each program runs for 16 weeks, and students are placed into one of four groups divided by age: Tiny Stars (ages 4-6), Brite Stars (ages 7-10), Rising Stars (ages 9-12) and Shooting Stars (ages 12-18).
