Festival of Women Authors

The Literary Guild of Orange County’s 19th annual Festival of Women Authors returns to the Irvine Marriott on Saturday, May 12, with a stellar lineup of talented female writers.           

This year’s roster of authors includes the Edgar-winning mystery writer LAURIE R. KING (The Beekeeper’s Apprentice), multi-disciplined writer DELIA EPHRON (screenplays You’ve Got Mail and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and the novel The Lion Is In), author and former New York Times columnist JOYCE MAYNARD (The Good Daughters),  Los Angeles Times Book Prize finalist NINA REVOYR (Wingshooters), memoirist MINDY GREENSTEIN (The House on Crash Corner), debut mystery writer TAMMY KAEHLER (Dead Man’s Switch), women’s fiction and young adult novelist CLAIRE LAZEBNIK (Families and Other Non-Returnable Gifts), and New York Times best-selling author GAYLE TZEMACH LEMMON (The Dressmaker of Khair Khana).

The Festival of Women Authors is a much-anticipated event that draws book lovers from all parts of Orange County and throughout the region. Past speakers have included such leading literary figures as Jean M. Auel, Hallie Ephron, Cokie Roberts, Elizabeth George, Alice Sebold, Janet Fitch and Karen Joy Fowler.

The event is sponsored and organized by members of the nonprofit Literary Guild of Orange County, and is limited to 500 participants to ensure a quality event for all attendees.

Tickets to the Festival of Women Authors must be purchased in advance. They are $80 per person if purchased at www.LGOC.com, and $75 if purchased by mail. The cost includes a sit-down luncheon.

The festival will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at the Irvine Marriott, 18000 Von Karman Ave., Irvine, CA.
