PHOTOS: Jefferson Starship Brings Back '70s Vibe

Thousands rock out to classic anthems at the first Lake Forest Palooza on Sunday in Pittsford Park.

Lake Forest residents donned tie-dyed T-shirts Sunday afternoon to watch the 1970s band Jefferson Starship perform in Pittsford Park.

The popular group headlined the concert, dubbed Lake Forest Palooza, performing hits including "Count on Me," "Miracles" and "White Rabbit."

Families turned out with blankets, picnic dinners and lawn chairs to watch a trio of live performances.

Pearl Jam cover band Vitalogy opened the concert, followed by the 80z All Stars.

Jefferson Starship took the stage at about 6 p.m., inspiring some concert-goers to head toward for stage and dance to the group's memorable hit songs.

Lake Forest's mascot, Nectar the hummingbird, joined the band onstage at the end of its set and danced with singer Cathy Richardson.

As a tribute to the city's 20th anniversary, the concert lasted more than three hours. Food trucks were available for hungry concert-goers, as were bounce houses and arts and crafts for children.
