PHOTOS: Rancho Days Fiesta Draws Hundreds

Families enjoy historical performances and practice old-fashioned crafts at the annual event at Heritage Hill Historical Park in Lake Forest.

The chance to do traditional crafts, play old-fashioned games and watch 19-century dances drew hundreds of visitors to Lake Forest on Sunday for the annual Rancho Days Fiesta.

Halfway through the event, nearly 500 people had passed through the gate at .

The park and Orange County Parks co-hosted the event, meant to teach visitors about life in California's rancho era. Orange County once consisted of about 20 ranchos.

The Serrano Adobe--the last still standing of five built by the Serrano family--and other historical buildings at Heritage Hill were opened to visitors during the Rancho Days Fiesta, with Amigos de la Colina docents sharing their knowledge with visitors.
