Rancho Days Fiesta Returns Sunday

The annual event at Heritage Hill Historical Park in Lake Forest teaches visitors about life in California in the mid-19th century.

Find out what life in California was like in the mid-19th century during the annual Rancho Days Fiesta on Sunday at .

Visitors will experience the sights and sounds of the past through music, dance, crafts, food and first-person re-enactors. Performers will demonstrate Mexican Rancho-era and Native American songs and dance.

The event, hosted by Orange County Parks and Heritage Hill, will highlight the park's historic . All the historic buildings will be open courtesy of Amigos de la Colina docents.

Other highlights of the event will include hands-on activities such as making adobe bricks, basket weaving and rope knotting.

Rancho Days Fiesta is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the park at 25151 Serrano Rd.

Admission is $4 for adults; $3 for children (2-year-olds and younger enter free). Refreshments will be available for purchase.
