Athletic Challenges and Autographs for Reign MMA Training Center's First Anniversary Party

Reign Mixed Martial Arts training gym celebrates its first birthday with a bash.

Reign Mixed Martial Arts training gym celebrated its one-year anniversary Saturday with a bash that featured professional fighters like former WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber, former Pride and UFC Heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Strikeforce light heavyweight title contender Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal, Joseph Benavidez and many more.

The day started with food, autograph signings, demonstrations and activities for kids to participate in.

"I am really excited to see my favorite fighters here today" Jeff Machingo of La Palma said.

Todd Norman, a Nike Sparq trainer and owner of Cutting Edge Sports Training, set up a strength and conditioning circuit, where people competed to win prizes by being the fastest.

"I'll be able to win," Kenji Gonzales, 5, said. "This is easy."

Rounds of Texas Hold 'em poker and a screening of the fight between Nogueira and Phil Davis were planned for later in the evening. Boneheads, a sponsor restaurant with a location at 23704 El Toro Road in Lake Forest, supplied chicken, fish and shrimp meals for the guests. A silent auction items of autographed shirts, gloves, and board games was held for die-hard fans.
