Inspectors have made several trips to Manila Kusina in the past year. In October, they determined food was not being held at proper temperatures – the tilapia was stacked too high from the heat source – and found a number of other lesser violations.

In May, inspectors discovered a similar problem with the tilapia and a hand sanitizer that contained no hand sanitizer.
