Free IRS Workshop for Small Businesses

Representatives from the Internal Revenue Service will provide business owners with free advice on taxes and recordkeeping.

Internal Revenue Service representatives will put on a free workshop for small business owners Oct. 23 at Lake Forest City Hall.

From 5 to 8 p.m., experts will provide business owners with an overview of how to deal with keeping records, including tax forms, as a small business owner or self-employed worker.

The seminar will feature free tools by the IRS for use year-round, including webinars, social media and newsletters.

IRS representatives will also cover how businesses can prevent falling victim to identify theft or phishing.

Light dinner refreshments will be served.
