Sewage System Backup Closes Lake Forest Thai Restaurant

Elephant Thai Cuisine had a number of violations but was able to open the next day.

Health inspectors closed Elephant Thai Cuisine in Lake Forest for a day last week because of five serious health code violatons, including a sewage system backup.

An inspector with Orange County Health Care Agency visited the restaurant, at 23384 El Toro Road, March 26.

“An accumulation of wastewater was observed throughout the kitchen floor (during active food preparation) due to undrained (4) floor sinks and what appears to be a mainline backup,” the inspector wrote in an online report.
