Watch: Patch Reporter Eats Kangaroo Meat at Slater's 50/50

Slater's 50/50 is a growing burger chain that's been getting a lot of attention for its namesake patty, made with half ground beef and half ground bacon.

They also have a Burger of the Month, which, for September, is something a bit more exotic: the 'Roo Burger -- half bacon, half kangaroo. Hip-hop hooray!

This hungry Patch reporter had to try it out, and popped into the Lake Forest outlet for a taste. Watch the clip to see what happened ...

The 'Roo Burger is available at all Slater's locations (Anaheim Hills, Huntington Beach, Lake Forest, Pasadena, Rancho Cucamonga and San Diego) through the end of September.

Thanks for the honesty. Surprising that the burger texture was that far 'down under.' Would you try another to make sure they all are not as dry ?

YUCK! I do not eat beef...I most definetly would NOT eat a kangaroo.

Back in the early 1980s I worked for the Miami Herald and remember reading an article about Wendy's, McDonald's ad BK using kangaroo meat in their beef patties. The article said it was 90% beef and 10% kangaroo meat mix. We would pull up to one of these fast food places at the drive through and tell them.. yes, I would like a couple of kangaroo burgers, LOL

those ''Kangaroo''burgers are great, but they make you feel a big edgy,an you sometimes have a tendency to ''hop''instead of walking.

@ Alfred, I thought you were gonna say they made you feel a little jumpy.
