New without tags, unused, and unworn hand-made item, size large.

This regal red and gold brocade and black velvet Renaissance Faire-style, 4-piece costume in size large includes. . .
• A red and gold brocade bodice
• A black velvet cloak
• A black velvet skirt
• An off-white satin chemise

Details regarding the fabrics and construction of each of these garments, as provided by the original seamstress:

Red and gold brocade bodice
Gorgeous red-gold brocade fabric was used for the bodice (retail 32.99/yd). The sleeveless bodice includes lacing on both sides (20 total grommets), and modesty panels for expandability. There are 10 'bones' or 'stays', including 6 down the front and 4 on each of the sides. It is lined with thick, canvas-like cotton fabric to help hold its structure.

Black velvet cloak

High quality, cool and light-weight soft velvet in black was used for the cloak (retail $18.99/yd.). The unlined cloak measures 55" from shoulder to floor, and ties at the neck with drawstring lacings.

Black velvet skirt

The skirt is comprised of the same high quality velvet that was used in making the cloak. The circumference at the bottom is a generous 165", leaving plenty of room for accommodating hoop skirts, if desired. The hem-able length is 43" (it is serged at the hem, so the fabric is 'finished').

Ivory / off-white satin chemise

An off-white/ivory satin was used to make the chemise (the blouse), which is a very roomy 56" bust and waist. Hip-length, with extremely 'puffy' sleeves, especially designed to work well with the bodice and the Renaissance style of the outfit.

It is suggested to dry clean the outfit, when required. The seamstress' costuming patterns are designed for easy fit on a wide range of body types, and the skirt waistband and side lacing on the bodice both include elastic, to accommodate this design.

I paid well over $200 to have this custom-made and, unfortunately, was unable to attend the event at which this beautiful costume was meant to be worn. My hope is that it will find a home with someone who will be able to get excellent use from it at your own event, wedding or local Renaissance faire -- this should be out and about, not hanging in a closet!
