City to Fete 20th Anniversary With 'Night Under the Stars'

Registration opens Tuesday for a swanky September party that will mark two decades of cityhood for Lake Forest.

A swanky soirée in celebration of Lake Forest's two decades of cityhood will take place in mid-September at the iconic Oakley building.

As the culmination of its year-long celebration of the two-decade mark, the city is putting on "A Night Under the Stars," a Sept. 15 dinner party at Oakley's corporate headquarters.

Registration opens Tuesday for the 20th anniversary party, which will be held outdoors at the visually striking building in Foothill Ranch.

The celebration will begin at 6 p.m. at 1 Icon. Cocktail hour at the no-host bar begins at 6:30 p.m.; dinner, at 8 p.m; then dancing. The Meloney Collins Jazz Quintet—plus surprise guests—will provide entertainment.

Dress code for the 21-and-older event is business/cocktail attire.

Tickets, available for purchase starting 8 a.m. Tuesday online, at  or by mail, are limited to four per purchaser.

City Hall, at 25550 Commercentre Dr., does not accept credit cards.

Party tickets are $50 each, which includes valet parking. Pre-registration is mandatory as no tickets will be available at the door.
