Extensive reporting by military correspondant David Wood on severely wounded veterans and their families has earned Huffington Post its first Pulitzer.
David Wood's 10-part series "Beyond the Battlefield" explored the challenges, victories and problems that catastrophically wounded soldiers encounter after returning home from the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan.
He took home the Pulitzer Prize in National Reporting, the first Pulitzer for the seven-year-old online-only news organization (and Patch affiliate).
