Lake Forest Highway Makes 'Fastest Roads' List
Interstate 5 from Lake Forest Drive to the 133 junction is one of "America's Fastest Roads," according to Forbes.com.
Drivers speeding (or crawling) by Lake Forest on Interstate 5 might not know it, but they are traveling on one of the country's fastest roads, according to an article published Thursday by a Forbes.com blogger.
The 6.1-mile stretch of Interstate 5 from Lake Forest Drive to Highway 133 made the list, which was compiled based on data from INRIX, a traffic data company that tracks speeds using vehicle GPS data.
According to a Forbes.com blog post, the average speed of the fastest 5 percent of drivers recorded on the stretch of roadway running by Lake Forest that made the list was 80 mph; the top speed, 84 mph.
