Lake Forest is Getting Hot, Hot, Hot

Summer weather is back.

Weather fit for shorts returns this week to Orange County along with light Santa Ana winds and clear skies.

Temperatures as high as 100 degrees will heat up Orange County inland areas.

Lake Forest is one of the areas where the temperature will soar close to triple digits, notwithstanding the beginning of fall nearly three weeks ago.

Still, there will be patchy morning fog along the coast.

The high-pressure system bringing the hot weather to the Southland will weaken Friday, allowing the area to cool back to normal. Mountains and deserts, however, will remain quite warm, Weather Service forecasters said.

Clouds will return, as will increasingly gusty winds, but little to no precipitation.
