Lake Forest Winter Camps: Skateboarding, Outings

Camps offered by the city provide activities for kids 6-17.

Updated Dec. 22 to reflect a change in schedule and pricing for the Winter Skate Camp.

Young kids and teens can get out but stay close to home during winter camps offered by the city of Lake Forest during school break.

Ages 8-11: Holiday Hoopla Full-Day Winter Break Camp
Activities will include ice skating, bowling, a movie and a trip to Pump It Up   and Discovery Science Center.
Dec. 26-28 or Jan. 2-4 (Wednesday-Friday)
Fee: $80 for residents; $85 for nonresidents.

Ages 12-14: Winter Break Teen Adventure Camp
Destinations include Ice Palace, Pump It Up and movie theater.
Dec. 26-28 or Jan. 2-4 (Wednesday-Friday)
Fee of $90 includes activities, trips, snacks, supplies and transportation.
Lake Forest Community Center (25550 Commercentre Drive).

Ages 6-17: Etnies Winter Skate Camp
Skate lessons are on the agenda, and barbecue is on the menu. Campers will receive a Createskate.org board to design and ride during the week along with an Etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest T-Shirt.
Dec. 26-28 or Jan. 2-4.
Fee: $99.
