Bear Grylls, world adventurer and host of popular television show Man vs. Wild, is making what organizers say will be his only appearance in North America this year Saturday at .
Attendees will hear the Discovery Channel star share some of the "great escapes and sticky situations of his life as a soldier, mountaineer, and serial adventurer," according to the church.
He is scheduled to tell his stories of extreme survival at the Lake Forest church's Worship Center from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Grylls, a Christian, has called his faith a "backbone through so many difficult times."
The event at 1 Saddleback Pkwy. in Lake Forest is free and open to the public.
