A Wet Midweek Expected in Lake Forest

Tuesday and Wednesday bring a chance of showers and temperatures in the 50s.

Chilly temperatures and rain showers are forecast for Lake Forest this Tuesday and Wednesday.

Before 10 a.m. Tuesday, there's a 20 percent chance of showers in town. Otherwise, the day will be mostly sunny, with a high near 59 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will bottom out at about 44 degrees Tuesday night, with a slightly higher chance of rain in the early morning hours.

Rain is more likely Wednesday, with a 60 percent chance of showers. The day's temperature will top out near 56 degrees, the NWS predicts.

Showers are expected to continue Wednesday night, with the added possibility of a thunderstorm. Small hail and gusting winds up to 25 mph may accompany the nighttime rain, according to NWS reports.

Lake Forest should dry out by Thursday, when sunny skies and warmer days are expected to return.

Temperatures will be near 70 degrees for the rest of the work week, dropping to the mid to low 60s through the weekend. A chance of showers is predicted Sunday.
