Youth Bus Riders Get O.C. Fair Admission Deal

Youth summer bus pass holders, 18 and under, can get a fair entrance coupon for $2.

Taking the bus to the Orange County Fair won't only save 18-and-unders gas, it'll also get them discounted entrance into the summer event.

A youth summer bus pass gets youth riders reduced rates for bus rides from June 1 to Aug. 31.

Now, the Orange County Transportation Agency (which runs the bus system) is offering pass holders who take the O.C. Fair Express bus to the Orange County Fair in Costa Mesa a coupon for $2 admission.

“For less than what it costs to fill up one tank of gas, pass holders can take the bus for three full months,” said Patricia Bates, chair of OCTA and 5th District supervisor. “This is a great option for those who do not drive or want to avoid paying the high cost of gas.”

With more than 6,200 bus stops to use, riders can hop on the bus and travel the county, from the beaches in San Clemente to Medieval Times in Buena Park. Pass holders also get discounts at 25 businesses and entertainment centers throughout the county, including Wild Rivers and Knott’s Berry Farm.
