Erica's simple tip for permanent weight loss
What is it?
Just walk it off! The simplest tip I can give for moving more is to buy a pedometer and aim to get 10,000 steps per day. It may seem too simple to be true, but 10,000 steps is approximately 5 miles! And According to the American Council on Exercise, that can equal almost 3,500 kcal/week = 1lb weight loss. It's a "SMART" goal - specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time-sensitive. And a 10,000 steps/day goal can be accomplished while performing your everyday tasks, which is perfect for those of you who feel there isn't enough time for dedicated exercise.
Read more about walking it off in Livestrong.com's article "How many calories does 10,000 steps burn?" And keep an eye online - we're working on an order for Driven Fitness pedometers, so you can have your very own in no time!
