The Festival Singers of Orange County opens its 2012-2013 season with a holiday concert, "Serious and Frivolous Holiday Moods". The program comprises music from the 16th century to the present day. It begins with European and American carols that tell the Christmas story. The frivolous part features arrangements of familiar songs such as Deck the Hall, Frosty the Snowman and I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus. The concert concludes with a sing-along of holiday favorites.
The Festival Singers presents several public concerts each season and has sung at Carnegie Hall in New York, Disneyland, Angel’s Stadium and for numerous service and community organizations throughout Southern California. Gary Toops is the Artistic Director, Carol Roman is the pianist. New singers are invited to join in January 2013.
