a woman was fatally struck by a vehicle this morning at the Corner of Canada/Lake Forest Drive in Lake Forest, CA at approximately 8:00am this morning.  The woman ran across the street to assist the victim of another accident victim when she was struck and thrown threw the air and hit the concrete and the force was so bad that her leg hit the ground and was split in 1/2 below her knee. A driver by the name of James Cook helped to save the woman pulling a tarp out of his work vehicle and tied it around the woman's leg with a strap to stop the bleeding as she was bleeding out and going unconscious.  The EMT arrived to tell Mr. Cook that he saved the woman's life had he not kept a cool head and did what he did. The other accident victim hit the block wall and was unconscious.  The woman was taken to Mission Hospital.  Any information regarding the woman's name would be appreciated so Mr. James Cook can check on her to make sure she is ok and let her know he is thinking of her and her family.
