Making Any Resolutions for 2012?

Tell us your goals, whether large or small. And tell us if anyone has ever ACTUALLY kept a New Year's resolution.

We here at Patch resolve to be more awesome in 2012.

No seriously, we resolve to ask you what you resolved for 2012.

Please tell us your goals in the comments.

And, while you're doing that, tell us if anyone you know has ever ACTUALLY kept a New Year's resolution for longer than five minutes?

For example, a certain Patch writer, whose initials are John Crandall, once resolved something simple: keeping his cell phone charged.

He lasted a good three or four days.

Hopefully, you'll do better than him this coming year.

I have a friend who resolves to gain weight and drink more each year, and she is usually pretty disciplined about keeping her resolutions. For my part, I would like to cover more news out of Los Alamitos and spend more time with family and less time on the computer...If anyone out there has a wildly ambitious resolution, I want to hear about it. Maybe Patch can follow your progress over the year.

I guess I could resolve to be more arrogant. But i'm already the best at that.

I just lost 30lbs in the last 3 months. I got Brad Lamb's book Just 10LBs. I am going to treatment in TN to Fit RX in February. I fell great, I am releasing all "big clothes" as soon as I get to thin for them. he book says that is making more of a commitment.
I started by quitting caffein, I released coffee & soda's; next I released sugar and white flour. Now I am walking with a 3 LB weight a couple of times a day. I am having fun and people are noticing, telling me I look great.

I believe it is time we had representation that understands what it means to serve. Because, afterRead More all, isn't a House Member's job to serve the people of his/her district? And who understands service better than a former Marine Corps Colonel? I briefly met Colonel Raths yesterday and it is my belief that he is doing this for all the right reasons and will provide what has been missing in Congress for far too long---INTEGRITY, HONESTY, PATRIOTISM, SELFLESSNESS & SERVICE. And if I heard correctly, yesterday, he has already hired the best possible company, a company with an extremely innovative and intelligent leader, to run his campaign. This company will serve him well and when the facts come about about Greg Raths, the people of the 45th District will have the easiest choice at the polls in quite some time. This is the man who will do the right thing for his district 10 times out of 10. Go Greg! When you find out the amazingly wonderful things he has done for his country, there really is no choice. Colonel Greg Raths USMC Retired for Congress, 2014.
