But you can save one! Orange County has so many great shelters & rescues- you can find just about any pet you're looking for. The Orange County Shelter, Irvine, Mission Viejo, San Clemente, Seal Beach, many More. Google rescue groups- there are breed specific and groups that have all sorts of available pets. Avoid pet stores unless they only have rescues for sale- "back yard breeders" sell pets they breed for money without concern for inbreeding or health or even puppy shots. When you buy one of these animals you are encouraging further breeding- something we don't need. ( professional breeders are different & are there to protect a specific breed). If you want your new best friend-adopt one! Every time you look in their eyes you'll see gratitude AND know you saved a precious life.
