5,000 Bees, Kids With Booze and Other Cop Calls

A selection of reports from Lake Forest to the county Sheriff's Department, June 21 to June 24.

A swarm of more than 5,000 bees was reported Tuesday in the 22400 block of Rio Aliso Drive. No word on how the caller calculated the number of bees, or whether the insects were fleeing Aliso Viejo, which is considering a ban on backyard beekeeping. The call came in at 6:51 p.m.

Indecent exposure. 1:16 a.m. Friday. Intersection of Jeronimo Road and Lake Forest Drive. Caller said a man in his late 20s, wearing a baseball cap, dark blue sweatshirt and white gym shorts exposed himself as he crossed the street. A patrol unit was sent to the area, but couldn't locate the suspect.

Pedestrian check. 6:49 a.m. Friday. 25000 block of Farthing Street.

Traffic stop. 9:09 p.m. Thursday. El Toro Road and Serrano Road. A 50-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and placed in custody at Orange County Jail on $100,000 bail.

Shots heard—no suspect information. 10:23 p.m. Thursday. 24200 block of Ursula Circle.

Traffic stop. 4:31 p.m. Thursday. El Toro Road and Arbor Way. A 28-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and placed in custody at Orange County Jail. He was released when he posted bail.

Follow-up report. 6:04 p.m. Thursday. 23000 block of Springwater. Deputies doing a follow-up report arrested an 18-year-old man and placed him in custody at Orange County Jail with no bail.

Vandalism report. 7:42 a.m. Thursday. 22800 block of Cedarspring.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 1:59 a.m. Thursday. 19500 block of Orviento Drive.

Disturbance. 10:35 p.m. Wednesday. 23100 block of Lake Center Drive.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 2:23 p.m. Wednesday. 26300 block of Misty Glen.

Burglary alarm—audible. 8:28 a.m. Wednesday. 24100 block of Big Timber Street.

Disturbance. 10:35 p.m. Tuesday. Normandale Drive and Vintage Way. A caller asked deputies to check for kids drinking alcohol in the park.

Welfare check. 6:59 p.m. Tuesday. Los Alisos Boulevard and Jeronimo Road. A caller reported a 7-year-old boy who was pushing a smaller child in a stroller on the street.
