A 56-year-old Lake Forest woman distraught over recent medical and financial issues is missing, authorities said.
Michele Ann McKay was last seen at 10 p.m. on Labor Day leaving her home on the 25000 block of Alta Loma in Lake Forest.
She left in a 2011 gray/black Ford Escape with the license plate 6PSK061 and a full tank of gas, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
However, she left all of her personal belongings at home, including her wallet, cell phone and credit cards.
Her family became "extremely concerned" when McKay failed to return home by Tuesday night.
McKay is a Caucasian female who stands about 5-foot-2-inches, weighs 130 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. She has a tattoo of a rose on her chest. She may have been wearing a black-and-white dress when she left Lake Forest.
McKay has also used the last names Schaffer and Gonzales.
According to the OCSD, she frequently spends time on the Southern California coastline between Laguna Beach and Seal Beach, as well as in canyons and wilderness areas.
