A caller reported early Monday seeing an adult teen male break into a Lake Forest newspaper rack and then take something from it. He must have figured his only other options were paying to get inside the rack, or going behind an online pay wall.

Apparently, no one shared with the young man that the news is free on The Patch.com

The call was made Monday, 1:21 a.m., from Mercury Road and Rockfield Blvd.

This report was culled from the Orange County Sheriff's website. Not all facts in each report are made public; the outcome of the report and its actual facts may differ from the original blotter item. There should be no assumption of guilt based on this limited information.
