A Water Fight, Illegal Fireworks and Other Cop Calls

A selection of reports from Lake Forest to the county Sheriff's Department from July 1 to July 5.

Early-morning hammering frustrated an Acorn Way woman to the point that she allegedly sprayed her noisy neighbor with water.

A resident was doing carpentry work outside his home at about 8 a.m. with headphones on when, according to him, the woman splashed water on him from a water bottle to get his attention. According to the police report, he responded by yelling at her.

The disturbance call reporting the hammering came in at 8:05 a.m. Sunday on the 21200 block of Acorn Way.

Burglary report. 9:14 a.m. Tuesday. 25200 block of Ginger Road.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 3:23 p.m. Monday. Los Alisos Boulevard and Jeronimo Road. Deputies responding to a suspicious persons report arrested a 43-year-old man and placed him in custody at Central Men’s Jail on $51,000 bail.

Traffic accident—unknown injuries. 2:03 a.m. Monday. Lake Forest Drive and Sterling Drive. Deputies responding to a traffic accident arrested a 50-year-old man and placed him in custody at Orange County Jail, where he was cited and released.

Firework violation. 1:21 a.m. Monday. Osterman Road and Normandale Drive. A caller asked deputies to check for kids on foot who reportedly set off firecrackers.

Traffic accident—unknown injuries. 9:58 p.m. Sunday. Midcrest Drive and Lyric Way. Deputies responding to a traffic accident arrested a 51-year-old woman and placed her in custody at Orange County Jail on $10,000 bail.

Citizen assist. 5:11 p.m. Sunday. 28300 block of Pueblo Drive. A resident said a neighbor gave the caller's son illegal fireworks.

Battery. 3:38 p.m. Sunday. 23100 block of Orange Avenue. A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of battery, placed in custody at Orange County Jail and released when he posted bail.

Unknown trouble. 10:56 p.m. Saturday. Lake Forest and Interstate 5. Deputies responding to an unknown trouble call arrested a 50-year-old man and placed him in custody at Central Men’s Jail with no bail set.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 12:36 a.m. Sunday. Midcrest Drive and Pittsford. A resident asked deputies to check for a group of kids who were looking into parked vehicles.

Fireworks violation. 10:33 p.m. Saturday. Cavanaugh Road and Rockfield Boulevard.

Pedestrian check. 1:37 p.m. Saturday. Los Alisos Boulevard and Jeronimo Road. A 20-year-old man was arrested during a pedestrian check and placed in custody at Central Men’s Jail on $1,500 bail.

Pedestrian check. 12:38 p.m. Saturday. Jeronimo Road and Cherry Avenue.  A 20-year-old man was arrested during a pedestrian check and placed in custody at Central Men’s Jail. He was released when he posted bail.

Drunk driving. 12:39 a.m. Saturday. Bake Lane and Toledo Lane. A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and placed in custody at Orange County Jail where he was cited and released.

Shots heard—no suspect information. 12:43 a.m. Saturday. 24200 block of Ponchartrain Lane.

Burglary alarm—audible. 9:56 p.m. Friday. 22200 block of Lantern Lane.

Fireworks violation. 8:35 p.m. Friday. 21000 block of Calle Caminata.
