Among Lake Forest Cop Calls, Tip on Hit-and-Run Van

A caller thought they might have found the white minivan police are searching for, but the van ended up not fitting the bill.

At 5:16 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a report of a family disturbance on the 23100 block of Saguaro Street. The caller said a brother and sister were fighting and that during the altercation, the woman yelled "ouch." Her brother reportedly continued yelling at her and was eventually arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor assault and battery.

At 2:21 p.m. Thursday, a man reported than someone had been calling in fraudulent prescriptions to Walgreens on the 24300 block of Muirlands Boulevard.

At 8:02 a.m. Thursday, a vehicle reportedly hit a pedestrian at Trabuco Road and Lake Forest Drive. No major injuries were reported, but the Orange County Fire Authority responded with paramedics.

At 10:35 p.m. Wednesday, a caller told police that a white van in the area of La Vaca Street and Raton Drive had front-end damage, and could possibly be the van police are searching for in connection with a December 2011 . However, the van ended up not matching the description of the vehicle because the damage to it was too old to be from the accident, according to the report.

At 9:48 p.m. Wednesday, a traffic stop ended in a short, unsuccessful manhunt by police when the passenger in the vehicle fled on foot. (.)

At 4:06 p.m. Wednesday, an informant called police from the 26500 block of Normandale Drive to inform them that someone had left a note on the caller's vehicle that read "watch your back." The caller did not know who left the note.

At 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported that reckless driving was taking place in the area of Summerwood Way and El Toro Road. According to the report, a silver sedan was pulling along a skateboarding juvenile.
