Arrest Made in El Toro Sidewalk Stabbing

A fight on an El Toro Road sidewalk leaves two in the hospital, one in jail. It might be gang-related.

One man has been taken to jail and two were taken to a hospital after a sidewalk fight on El Toro Road on Wednesday afternoon.

Two men were stabbed in the melee, which occurred shortly before 2 p.m., near the corner of El Toro and Jeronimo roads.

Several people were involved, according to authorities, who think the fight may have been gang related.

Taken into custody was Richard Camarga Morales, 24.

Deputies arrived after the fight ended, and detained four people, including two uncooperative stabbing victims, according to Lt. Gary Strachan of hte Orange County Sheriff's Department.

The wounded were taken to a local hospital and are in stable condition; their wounds are not life-threatening.

Although a knife was reportedly found nearby, Strachan said his understanding of the ongoing investigation is that the kknife used in the attack has not been located.
