According to the blotter of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, a man called to report his son had walked out of the 24 Hour Fitness on Rancho Parkway between Lake Forest and Bake when he was confronted from behind by a man in his late teens.

The man pulled out a knife and popped the son’s basketball.

Then left.

The incident took place Wednesday, about 9:10 p.m.
