Beatings, Burglaries and Death Threats
A selection of calls from Lake Forest to the county Sheriff's Department from May 24-27.
Several men were allegedly beating a kid with a stick by a wooded area, according to a Tuesday call to the Sheriff's Department. A member of the group was riding a bike that was much too small for him, the caller said.
The incident was reported around 3:22 p.m. at the intersection of Winterwood Drive and Ridge Route Drive.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 6:40 p.m. Thursday. 19100 block of Sycamore Glen Drive. Sheriff deputies responding to a suspicious person report arrested a 35-year-old construction worker and placed him in custody at Orange County Jail on $130,000 bail.

Grand theft. 10:34 a.m. Thursday. 27000 block of Towne Centre Drive.
Suspicious person/circumstances. 12:52 a.m. Thursday. 23200 block of Orange Avenue.
Warrant arrest. 7:45 p.m. Wednesday. 22800 block of Sailwind Way. A 56-year-old landscaper was arrested on an outstanding warrant and placed in custody at Central Men’s Jail on $50,000 bail.
Disturbance. 5:38 p.m. Wednesday. 24500 block of Bendricon Lane.
Burglary in progress. 11:13 a.m. Wednesday. 25200 block of Toledo Way.
Traffic stop. 2:07 a.m. Wednesday. Angela Street and Mimi Lane. A 38-year-old IT consultant was arrested during a traffic stop, placed in custody at Central Men’s Jail and released when he posted bail.

Traffic stop. 10:14 p.m. Tuesday. Cherry Avenue and Esrose Court. A 24-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop, placed in custody at Orange County Jail and released when he posted bail.
Disturbance. 8:39 p.m. Tuesday. 21800 block of Michigan Lane. A caller asked deputies for help after his wife allegedly threatened to kill him because she thought he had been sleeping with his ex-wife.
