Burglar On the Lam, and Other Cop Calls

A selection of reports from Lake Forest to the county Sheriff's Department, June 7-9.

Forgetting to lock the front door cost a Lake Forest apartment dweller a purse, laptop and cell phone, the resident told deputies Tuesday night.

The resident, who lives near the 20700 block of El Toro Road, came home and reported a burglary in progress after discovering the possessions missing, according to Orange County Sheriff Department Sgt. Kurt Valentine.

The call was made at 10:49 p.m. Tuesday.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 3:46 p.m. Thursday. 13800 block of Saguaro Street.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 4:51 a.m. Thursday. 29000 block of Modjeska Peak Lane.

Traffic stop. 10:51 p.m. Wednesday. Calle Busca and Rio Verde. A 24-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and placed in custody at Orange County Jail, where he was cited and released.

Suspicious person in vehicle. 7:24 p.m. Wednesday. 24300 block of Swartz Drive.

Shots heard—no suspect information. 10:19 a.m. Wednesday. 22700 block of Malaga Way.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 7:22 a.m. Wednesday. Sawmill Lane and Lantern Lane.

Pedestrian check. 12:13 a.m. Wednesday. Muirlands Boulevard and Los Alisos Boulevard. A 56-year-old man was arrested during a pedestrian check and placed in custody at Orange County Jail, where he was cited and released.

Disturbance. 8:49 p.m. Tuesday. 24300 block of Falcon Street.

Traffic stop. 8:05 p.m. Tuesday. Boeing Lane and Rockfield Boulevard. A 32-year-old woman was arrested during a traffic stop and placed in custody at Orange County Jail with no bail set.

Suspicious person in vehicle. 5:07 p.m. Tuesday. Bake Parkway and Towne Centre Drive.

Drunk driving. 2:16 p.m. Tuesday. Lake Forest Drive and Trabuco Road. A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and placed in custody at Orange County Jail, where he was released when he posted bail.
