Car Crashes into Coto Home, Kills Driver

A woman and two children inside the home were reportedly not hurt.

A 22-year-old man was killed tonight when the car he was driving struck a curb, became airborne and crashed into a house before coming to rest atop a masonry wall in the unincorporated Coto de Caza area.

The crash happened around 7:40 p.m. near the intersection of Cherry Hill Drive and Vista Del Verde, said Capt. Steve Concialdi of the Orange County Fire Authority.

The victim, who was trapped, died inside the vehicle, where he remained two hours after the crash, Concialdi said.
