A car fire is blocking one lane and tying up rush hour traffic on the northbound 5 Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a fire engine was en route as of 6:35 p.m. to the scene where a burning vehicle is pulled off to the right shoulder near the merger of the northbound 5 and 405 freeways at Bake Parkway. The vehicle was first reported at 6:15 p.m.
