Twenty Men Brawl and Other Cop Calls

A selection of recent reports from the Orange County sheriff's police blotter in Lake Forest.

At 9:34 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 24500 block of Bendricon Lane. The informant witnessed approximately 20 men fighting in the street near Packer Place. Deputies reportedly detained three of the brawlers. 

At 9:04 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a suspicious person near the Bake Parkway and Portola Parkway intersection. According to the report, a transient was harassing people at an ATM asking for work.

At 8:34 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 24500 block of Bendricon Lane. The informant reported about eight male minors smoking narcotics outside her window and arguing with one another. The informant refused to provide the authorities with a description of the minors.

At 1:34 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported indecent exposure near the Orange Avenue and Jeronimo Road intersection. The informant saw a man in his 40s urinating in the parking lot of a liquor store. There was no report of an arrest. 

At 12:42 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 23100 block of Lake Center Drive. According to the report, a group of guests at the Irvine Suites were throwing beer bottles at the informant from the fourth floor.

At 4:18 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a drunken driver near the Portola Parkway and Bake Parkway intersection. The informant reportedly saw a blue Toyota Yaris swerve as its driver appeared to be falling asleep. The driver pulled into a Target parking lot and when deputies arrived the vehicle was unoccupied.

At 12:03 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported suspicious activity in the 24700 block of Evereve Circle. The informant suspected someone was smoking narcotics in their area due to a strange odor that was coming into their location. Deputies were dispatched to search the area.

At 11:41 a.m. Saturday, deputies arrested a 46-year-old man near the El Toro Road and Bridger Road intersection. Police were conducting a traffic stop and discovered the man had a warrant out for his arrest. He was taken into custody and has since been released on a bond. 

At 8:14 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported a drunken driver near the Lake Forest Drive and Vintage Woods Road intersection. According to the report, the driver of a blue Honda Civic ran a red light at Cañada Road and then collided with a light post. The driver also repeatedly hit a curb and then sat in the middle of the intersection with a flat tire.
