Sheriff's Blotter: Can't They All Just Get Along?

Business dealings lead to trouble, and a transient stays around long enough to look like he's messing with drugs. Plus: vandalism and other recent reports from the Orange County Sheriff's Department blotter for Lake Forest.

11:24 p.m. Wednesday. A traffic accident with unknown injuries was reported in the 22600 block of Jubilo Place. According to the report, a driver in a dark-colored vehicle had crashed into a city light pole. Firefighters were dispatched after the driver was heard moaning. 

9:15 p.m. Wednesday. A drunken driver was reported near the Trabuco Road and El Toro Road intersection. The report said a woman around age 22 was swerving across Cherry Street. The woman was driving a white Trooper and almost caused several traffic collisions. 

1:17 p.m. Wednesday. A suspicious man was reported in the 24300 block of Muirlands Boulevard. According to the report, a transient was seen messing around with a white, powdery substance. The caller suspected illegal drugs might be involved.

8:28 a.m. Wednesday. A disturbance was reported in the 20700 block of Lake Forest Drive. Two men were seen trying to start a fight with each over over business-related issue. Deputies contacted both parties. 

12:31 a.m. Wednesday. A disturbance was reported in the 26300 block of Towne Center Drive. The caller reported a group of loud and intoxicated people in an apartment complex courtyard. 

5:14 p.m. Tuesday. A burglary in progress was reported in the 24500 block of Via Raza. The caller, having returned home to find a window pried out, was concerned someone might be inside. Deputies couldn't find anyone inside.

2 p.m. Tuesday. Vandalism was reported in the 23100 block of Los Alisos Boulevard. The report said the leasing office of the Saddleback Ranch Apartments was vandalized. 

1:41 p.m. Tuesday. A burglary in progress was reported near the El Toro Road and Arbor Way intersection. The caller reported seeing a man in his early 20s and wearing an orange polo shirt breaking into a car. The man was using a credit card and a metal rod to break in to the vehicle. The caller was unsure if the man had just locked his keys in the car.
