Man Smokes Marijuana Around Toddler, Caller Says

A selection of recent reports from the Orange County sheriff's police blotter in Lake Forest.

At 10:50 a.m. Friday, a caller reported an illegally parked vehicle in the 19400 block of Misty Ridge. According to the report, a grey Mercedes Benz was seen parked in front of a fire hydrant and sticking out into traffic.

At 8:39 a.m. Friday, deputies were called to conduct a welfare check in the 26300 block of Town Center Drive. An anonymous caller told police that a father in the area smokes marijuana around his 2-year-old son.

At 3:19 a.m. Friday, a caller reported a burglary in progress in the 25000 block of Farthing Street. The informant reportedly saw someone breaking into vehicles in the rear parking lot of Kingdom Hall. The suspected burglar was putting something over the windows to muffle the sound of them breaking, according to the caller. There was no report of an arrest.

At 1:31 a.m. Friday, a caller reported a trespasser in the 25700 block of Le Parc Road. According to the report, a group of minors were spotted in a community pool hot tub when they were not supposed to be there.

At 11:03 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 22500 block of Killy Street. The report stated that several minors were smoking drugs in and acting rowdy.

At 11:01 p.m. Thursday, deputies arrested a 26-year-old man near the Sawmill Lane and Praire Road intersection. Deputies reportedly took him into custody for parole violation. There was no posted bail amount.

At 10:11 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a stolen vehicle in the 24200 block of Larkwood Lane. The informant reported that a silver BMW had been stolen shortly after it was parked in front of the caller's house.

At 8:00 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 23100 block of Los Alisos Boulevard. According to the report, the informant’s brother-in-law was drunk and making deadly threats. According to the caller, the man threatened to kill him with a knife, stating “I’m capable of killing anyone.” There was no report of an arrest.

At 9:36 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to a car fire in the 26400 block of Rancho Parkway. According to the report, an Orange County Shredding truck caught fire. Firefighters responded to put out the blaze.
