Dead Cat Dumped in Yard and Other Cop Calls

Selected reports from the Orange County Sheriff's blotter in Lake Forest.

At 3:42 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported suspicious activity in the 200 block of Chaumount Circle. The informant reported an unknown subject had dumped a trash bag with a rotting dead animal inside on her property. Deputies were responding to see exactly what was inside the bag. Police reported it was a dead cat.

At 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported hearing a firearm discharge in the 18900 block of Canyon Hill Drive. According to the report, the informant heard five to six gun shots come from the canyon area. A second informant called from Cooks Corner reporting the same thing.

At 6:03 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 25100 block of Pas Abeto. The informant reported that her handyman showed up to work on her house intoxicated and was concerned he was going to drive away in his big, white van. The informant called deputies later and stated that the handyman’s sister came to pick him up.

At 2:34 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a reckless driver near the Calotte Place and Carillon Place intersection. According to the report, the informant was concerned about the safety of dirt bikers riding in the area. The informant was concerned because there was a fatal crash at the same location last week. 

At 2:24 p.m. Wednesday, deputies arrested a 44-year-old man near the Bridger Road and El Toro Road intersection. According to the report, a man in a blue Ford Explorer was seen exposing himself as he was heading towards Avenida De La Carlota. He was taken into custody and has since been released on a bond.

At 2:02 p.m. Wednesday, deputies were called to conduct a patrol check in the 25000 block of Farthing Street. According to the report, there has been an ongoing issue with several minors urinating near the Kingdom Hall Church and climbing wall.

At 8:26 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported acts of domestic violence near the El Toro Road and Rockfield Boulevard intersection. The report stated that a female was being hit by her boyfriend near the back parking lot of Marinellos school. 

At 9:37 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 22300 block of El Toro Road. There was reportedly a verbal argument between a Circle K store clerk and a customer when the clerk refused to accept the customer's identification to buy alcohol and the customer refused to leave the store.

At 9:22 p.m. Tuesday, deputies assisted firefighters in the 25400 block of Alta Loma. According to the report, the informant’s father was going into insulin shock and was acting combative and unstable.

At 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a drunk person in a car near the El Toro Road and Rockfield Boulevard intersection. According to the report, a drunk man was sitting in older sedan outside of Cafe Rio and was yelling profanities at passersby.
