Grocery Store Reports Counterfeit Cash

A selection of recent reports from the Orange County sheriff's blotter in Lake Forest.

At 2:18 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported suspicious activity in the 23200 block of Sky Drive. A drunk man had wandered into the caller's backyard, claiming the residence belonged to his friend and he was attempting to enter the home.

At 12:02 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported that a weapon was being brandished in the 23200 block of Orange Avenue. The informant reported that a neighbor had pulled a knife and held it up to his throat. Deputies and firefighters were warned that there might be a loose pit bull and firearm at the scene. Deputies reported detaining one subject. 

At 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported suspicious people in the 22500 block of Killy street. The report stated several people were seen smoking marijuana at the south end of Ranchwood Park. There was no report of an arrest.

At 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a suspicious circumstance near the El Toro Road and Toledo Way intersection. The report stated that a man with a towel wrapped around his neck was urinating near a bus stop. Deputies were responding to the call. 

At 7 p.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to assist an outside agency in the 26700 block of Portola Parkway. The report stated that federal agents were dispatched to a Ralphs grocery store for a counterfeit $20.

At 6:53 p.m. Tuesday, deputies arrested a 30-year-old woman in the 24200 block of Larkwood Lane. According to the report, the woman was driving with an excessive blood alcohol content, hypodermic needles, and narcotics. The woman additionally had a warrant out for her arrest. She was taken into custody and has since been released on a bond.

At 4:59 p.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to conduct a welfare check near the Portola Parkway and Town Center Drive. The report stated that a drunk homeless man was seen staggering into traffic. The man was wearing a brown T-shirt and camouflage pants. 

At 3:48 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported someone drunk in public in the 21100 block of Canada Road. The report stated that a drunk man was harassing residents at the Emerald Court Apartments club house.
